Benchmark Product Update June 2026
This month is all about making the move to the new Benchmark Email easier – bring your Benchmark Classic contacts over in a few clicks, find all your integrations in one place, and enjoy a refreshed template gallery.
Import your contacts and lists from Benchmark Classic

What’s new
- A new Import from Benchmark Classic option in Import Contacts – bring your contacts over without exporting and re-importing CSV files
- Import everything at once, or move over specific lists at your own pace as you transition
- Choose which custom fields come along, and Benchmark Email creates any lists and fields that don’t exist yet
- Contacts that appear on multiple lists are automatically merged into a single record with the best values for each field – no duplicates
- Unsubscribed and hard-bounced contacts are imported too, so you can’t accidentally email someone who opted out
- Connect once with your Benchmark Classic API key; imports support up to 50 lists and 100,000 contacts at a time
Why it matters
Moving platforms shouldn’t mean rebuilding your audience by hand. This import brings your lists, custom fields, and suppression history over intact – so you can start sending from the new Benchmark Email with confidence on day one.
A dedicated home for integrations

What’s new
- A new Integrations section, available from the profile menu, that houses everything integration-related
- An Apps area with direct integrations – starting with Zapier and Benchmark Classic
- API Keys moved from Account Settings into the new Integrations section, so all your connection tools live in one place
- A Request an Integration button – tell us what you’d like Benchmark Email to connect to next
Why it matters
As Benchmark Email connects to more of your tools, you need one obvious place to manage those connections. Integrations gives Zapier, your Benchmark Classic connection, and your API keys a permanent home – with room for what’s coming next.
A refreshed email template gallery

What’s new
- The Start your email design screen now uses illustrated cards – Templates, Layouts, and My Emails – instead of tabs
- The new design matches the signup form creation flow, so starting an email feels familiar
- Clearer starting points make it easier to spot blank layouts and pre-designed templates
Why it matters
The first step of building an email should be the easiest one. The refreshed gallery makes your options obvious at a glance – and sets the stage for importing your Benchmark Classic email designs, coming soon.
Other improvements and fixes
- New Table block in the email builder. Insert real tables into your emails – no more improvising with text formatting.
- Better version history on contact pages. The contact detail page now shows your four most recent updates (up from three), and the newest entry reflects the most recent change.
- Cleaner contact exports on Windows. Exported .csv files now open in Excel with the right encoding, fixing garbled text in Japanese and Traditional Chinese.
- Fixed a re-upgrade issue. Customers who abandoned a paid-plan upgrade and later cancelled their account can now upgrade again without getting stuck.
- Fixed missing contact status. Contact status now displays correctly for contacts added to the blocking list, including Gmail addresses with aliases.
- Fixed image display for shared-domain sends. Resolved an issue that could prevent images from displaying in test emails and campaigns sent from a shared domain.
- API improvements. Updating a contact without the required version field now returns a clear error message instead of a server error, and the contact events endpoint supports a new source filter.
- Traditional Chinese translation improvements throughout the app.
