Release Notes April 2025
Powerful new features and usability improvements are here to help you move faster, test easier, and stay on top of what matters.
Sign Up and Sign In with Google
What’s new: New users can now sign up and log in using their Google account—no need to remember another password.
Why it matters: It’s faster and simpler to get started, especially for teams that use Google Workspace. If you sign up with Google, you’ll continue logging in that way. If you used a Google email to sign up, you can switch to Google login anytime.
Smarter Template Search and Filters
What’s new: You can now search and filter the template gallery by keyword, campaign goal, industry, email type, or season.
Why it matters: Finding the right email design is faster and easier than ever—just in time for our growing collection of templates.
Send Test Emails Without Authenticating Your Domain
What’s new: You can now send test emails even before your domain is authenticated. These test emails will come from our internal, authenticated domain:
testemails.nxg.benchmarkemail.com
Why it matters: You get to preview and test your email designs right away—no setup roadblocks.
Once your domain is authenticated, test emails will be sent from your own domain for a more accurate preview.
Real-Time Domain Authentication Alerts
What’s new: We’ve added helpful system-generated emails and in-app notifications to keep you updated about domain authentication:
- ✅ Success confirmation (even if you’re not logged in)
- ❌ Failure notifications with guidance on what to fix
- 🕓 Alerts for long-running authentications that may require action
- 🔄 Re-authentication alerts if a previously authenticated domain fails
Bonus: All notifications are now also available in Japanese.
Clarity upgrade: We’ve updated domain status labels to make them easier to understand at a glance.
A Better Experience for Invited Users
What’s new: When you invite new teammates, they now receive a friendly invitation email and a proper onboarding flow—instead of being auto-added and prompted to “reset” their password.
Why it matters: A more intuitive, secure, and professional experience for growing teams.
More Flexibility with Reply-To Emails
What’s new: You can now add up to 20 reply-to email addresses (up from 5).
Why it matters: More flexibility for managing responses across departments or clients.
Reporting Accuracy and Improvements
What’s new:
- Preview text & sender info are now included in campaign reports.
- Bounce reports now display only the contacts you click to view (hard or soft), not all bounces.
- Spam complaints vs. unsubscribes: We’ve corrected how these events are prioritized to make engagement metrics more accurate. Spam complaints now override unsubscribes to avoid duplicate or misleading event counts.
Other Fixes and Enhancements
- Contact export fix: Files now download correctly as .csv (no more .csv.csv).
- Navigation boost: A new “Back to Emails” link in the builder makes it easy to return to your email list—without losing any work, thanks to auto-save.
- Improved List and Filter Visibility: We’ve added hover tooltips to truncated list and filter names, so you can now view the full name by simply hovering. This makes it easier to manage longer, more descriptive names without sacrificing readability in the interface.
